Pauline G. Ekas

Pauline G. Ekas, 85, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, formerly of Lambert Drive, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Olean General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Born February 16, 1937, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Oakley and Mary (Hardy) Campbell. She was a graduate of Bradford High School.

On August 7, 1953, in Bradford she married Daniel A. Ekas Sr. who preceded her in death on July 5, 2020.

Pauline was employed at Zippo Manufacturing, and Sears Catalog Store in the Bradford Mall.

Pauline was a member of the Koffee Kup Bowling League.

She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. You could often find her in the kitchen baking cookies, pies, and brownies with her grandchildren. Family Christmas trees are adorned with her handmade crafts. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to garage sales. Together with her husband, they enjoyed camping at Foote Rest Campground, making numerous trips to attend family sporting events, concerts, birthday parties and picnics. Pauline and her husband loved playing cards and frequently tried their luck at the Seneca Allegany Casino.

Surviving are two sons, Daniel (Debbie) Ekas Jr., and Timothy (Sandy) Ekas, all of Bradford, three granddaughters, Denise (Chad) Bartoszek, Tricia (Brandon) Cook, Alyssa Ekas, one grandson, Douglas (Erica) Ekas, five great grandchildren, Brandon, Tyler, Daxton, Walker, and Alayah, two sisters, Sandra Calderwood, of Bradford, and Carol (Jim) Yeager, of Smethport.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dan of 67 years, two sisters, Evelyn Wagner, and Jean Ammons, five brothers, Jack, Lyle, Howard, Walter, and Floyd Campbell.

Family will receive friends on Thursday July 28, 2022, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 372 East Main Street. At 1:00 pm funeral services will be held with Rev. W. LeRoy Beckes, retired Presbyterian Pastor officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
