James J. Ludwig, 58, of Bradford, passed away, along with his dog Ozzy, Friday, September 2, 2022, surrounded by his family.
On July 8, 1964, in Bradford, he was a son of James L. and Susan M. (Tanner) Ludwig, who survive.
He was a 1982 graduate of Bradford Area High School and later became a proud 5 Star Dodge Certified Auto Mechanic.
Jim was married to Laurie (Kahle) Ludwig, they had been together for over 25 years.
An auto mechanic his entire life he started working in high school at Terry Matthews Service Station and later at Colley Auto, Bauschard Dodge, Dexter's Auto and Collision Center, and he most recently worked for Chris Burkhouse at Lloyd's Keystone Service and Wireline Services.
Jim was a member of the Masonic Lodge #749 F&AM.
Surviving in addition to his parents, and wife, are two sons, Andrew Ludwig, and J.R. Ludwig, both of Bradford, one stepdaughter, Danielle (Sam Maze) Sullivan, one stepson, Josh (Kelly Daniels) Kahle, all of Bradford, two grandsons, Tayton and Matthew Ludwig, two brothers, Shane M Ludwig, of Bradford, and Timothy (Cassie) Ludwig, of Jacksonville Beach, FL, one brother-in-law, Grant V. (June) Smith, of Bradford, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Julie Lynn Smith who died July 9, 2004, and his grandparents, Chester, and Viola Tanner, and Marion and Florence Ludwig.
Friends are invited to a Remembrance on Saturday September 17, 2022, at 10 am in the Hilltop Baptist Church, with Rev. Max Simms, Pastor officiating. A Masonic Service will be held just prior to the start of the Remembrance.
