Jean A. Johnston

Jean A. Johnston, 72 of 52 West Warren Road, Custer City, passed away Saturday April 26, 2025, at Buffalo General Hospital.
 
Born November 5,1952, in Bradford, she was the daughter of the late Fino and Anne M. (Grill) Franco. 

Jean attended school in Lewis Run, and graduated from Bradford Central Christian High School. 

On November 22,1986, in Bradford, she married the love of her life and best friend Craig H. Johnston who survives. 

Jean was a part-time bookkeeper for DeFrank Appliance. Her greatest joy in life was being with her grandchildren. Jean had a love for cooking and camping. 

Surviving is her husband Craig, of 38 years, one son, Michael J. Givan, one daughter,Katie (Jeffrey) A. Schneider, both of Bradford, four grandchildren, Kayla, Tanner, Brody and Brooke, one brother, Tom (Elaine) J. Franco of Batavia NY, one nephew, Thomas (Sarah) J. Franco, and one niece, Sarah B. Franco. 

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, John Franco. 

There will be no public service at Jean's request.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
