Oakley C. Hedlund, 2, of Willow Creek, passed away on the morning of August 14, 2025.
He was born on January 18, 2023, at Warren General Hospital to his mother, Tasha Hedlund.
Though Oakley had only 940 short days with us, he was full of life and joy. He had a huge, infectious smile. He loved watching the old Dukes of Hazzard show with his great-grandfather every morning. He spent his days riding his tricycle with his siblings, swimming at his aunt’s, and playing with trucks alongside his brother. Oakley was adventurous, curious, and forthright.
Oakley’s life is a testament to the preciousness of each day. His impact, though brief, will be lasting. His memory will forever be cherished, and he will never be forgotten. The family asks for kindness and compassion during this time of immeasurable grief.
He is survived by his four siblings: Isabella Hedlund, Caitlin Buckley, Jaxon Buckley, and Cameron Dahlke, as well as his maternal grandparents, Joanne and Richard Hedlund; his aunt, Cortney (CC) Hedlund; Uncle Dylan Blackman; cousin Steven Wackwitz; and several other cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family members who loved him deeply.
Oakley is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Carol (Livingston) Miller, and lovingly referred to Oakley as her “little buddy". He is also preceded by his great-grandfather, Charles Miller; great-aunt, Angie (Miller) Wackwitz, great uncle, James Livingston, and great-grandparents Joseph and Nancy (Hanson) Tanesky.
