Kathy H. McAndrew
Kathy H. McAndrew (Bridge), 66, of 6 Jack Street, Bradford, passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of October 4, 2025, in her home.
Our world is now forever changed. In a moment that still doesn’t feel real, my wife left this earth. It was sudden, heartbreaking, and nothing could have prepared us for it. My daughter and I were with her we tried everything. We fought for her breath, but God called her home before we could bring her back.
There are no words for watching someone you love so deeply slip away in your own home. No words for the silence that follows. But there is love endless, fierce, unbreakable love. And that love will carry her name in every heartbeat of ours for the rest of our lives.
Kathy was the most kind, loving, and nurturing soul. A woman of grace whose quiet strength and gentle wisdom touched everyone around her. She loved the simple joys of life with her husband Keith: long trail walks beneath the trees, fall drives to see the changing leaves, the warmth of small-town festivals, browsing flea markets and garage sales, tending to her flower gardens, decorating for every holiday, and gathering family around her table for cookouts and laughter. She especially cherished time with her six beloved grandchildren and seven beloved animals, most of all her Siamese cat, Cotton, who rarely left her side.
An avid reader of mystery novels and a lifelong lover of the outdoors, Kathy’s heart belonged to nature and to the people she loved. She was known for her kindness, empathy, and a radiant smile that could light up an entire room. To be near her was to feel understood, safe, and loved.
She loved her family with everything she had. She taught us strength through gentleness, faith through storms, and love that never gives up. We are broken, but we are grateful for every moment we had. We will honor her by living with the same compassion, honesty, and courage she carried every day of her life.
Kathy shared 44 and a half beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Keith E. McAndrew. Together they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.
She is survived by her husband Keith; her children, Klinton McAndrew and Kaylle (Dillon) Pennell; and six cherished grandchildren: Mia McAndrew, Ella McAndrew, Kora Pennell, Gracie McAndrew, Elise Pennell, and Rohnin Pennell.
Kathy was preceded in death by her loving parents, Norbert (Jack) Bridge and Patricia (Pat) Roulo Bridge, whose spirits surely welcomed her home with open arms.
To all who knew her, Kathy will be remembered as a source of light, gentle, steadfast, and endlessly giving. Her spirit lives in the hearts of those she loved, in the golden hues of autumn she adored, and in the quiet peace of the home she made sacred.
Rest peacefully, Kathy. You were our home, our heart, and our forever.
Until we meet again, we’ll keep finding you in the sunlight, in the quiet, and in the love that will never fade.
Family will receive friends on Thursday October 9, 2025, from 3 pm to 6pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 33 South Avenue, followed by services at 6 pm with Fr. Ed Walk officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahil Funeral Homes Inc.
