Dona M. Brown

Dona M. Brown, 89, of Crookerhouse Lane, Bradford, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Bradford Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving grandchildren, and great grandchildren, by her side.

Dona was born in Bradford, on April 30, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Duane and Alice E. (Feely) Vaughn. She was a 1954 graduate of Bradford High School.

On April 26,1952, she married George E. Brown, who preceded her in death on April 5, 2009.

Dona was a stay-at-home mom while she raised her daughters. After her children were raised Dona worked at the Market Basket in Kane, and she retired from the Area Transit Authority where she was a bus driver.

Surviving are four grandchildren, Shawn (Sara) Hartman, of Bradford, Kristy Lee Peterson, of Bradford, Susan (Michael) Vilcheck, of Owings MD, and Eric D. (Lindsi)   Thompson, of Bradford, 11 great-grandchildren, Ariel Tudor, Katelynn (Jake) Peters, Kyle Hartman, Madison Hartman, Steven Vilcheck, Ashlynn Vilcheck, Madolynn Spaich, Jocelynn Spaich, Tyler Thompson, Brett Thompson, and Jordon Thompson, and three great-great-grandchildren, Robbie Tudor, Mason Peters, Myra Peters, and several nieces and nephews.

Dona was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Lynn Marie Hartman,and Deborah Lijia, and one sister, Joyce Deone Campbell.

At Dona's request funeral services are private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
