Living next door to Bruce in the Old Fifth Ward was like having another older brother to look up to. He set a fine example for many young men from the neighborhood. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

My Uncle Bruce was as fine as a man as I''ve ever been blessed to meet.
Always friendly, always smiling, and able to shake his head and roll his eyes, good-naturedly, at all of life''s ups and downs.
He was a kind, decent, engaged and genuine man.
In a similar way that he loved his stepsons Scott and Andy like they were his own, my wife, Susan, loved our Uncle Bruce.
Thank you, Beth, for all you''ve done across the decades to "preserve" his wonderful disposition and Mom, for being a wonderful big sister.
To my cousins Mike, Missy, Lynn and Pat, we share in your sorrow for the (temporary!!) loss of your Dad.
Jim, Susan and Trevor
