Shelia C. Hillard, 72, of 61 Marion Ave., Bradford, formerly of 12 Ash Drive, Derrick City, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 20, 2012 at The Bradford Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born December 19, 1939 in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Asher and Elda (Ward) Webster.
On July 18, 1959 in St. Francis Church she married Guy E. Hillard Jr. who survives.
She was a 1957 graduate of Bradford High School, then enrolled in the X-Ray Technician school at the Bradford Hospital and worked for 2 years as a X-Ray Technician. She then owned and operated the She-She Ceramics shop for 10 years.
Shelia was a secretary for the Marching Band Boosters and the Derrick City Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary. She bowled in the Koffee Kup League, was a Girl Scout leader and volunteered with the BRMC Auxiliary.
In addition to her husband she is survived by one daughter Judy (Kevin) Fox of Painesville OH, one son Dan (Sue) Hillard of Bradford, 3 grandchildren, Ashley (Mark) Jackson, Katlyn Hillard and Meagan Hillard, one sister Mary Webster of Derrick City and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no public visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 11:00am in St. Francis Church with the Rev. Stephen Collins pastor as celebrant. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Derrick City Volunteer Fire Dept. or the Bradford Stroke Group, 1223 East Main St., Bradford PA 16701.
