Irene E. Onuffer, 97, of 1423 South Avenue, Bradford, passed away, unexpectedly, Saturday, August 30, 2025, at her residence.
Born January 5, 1928, in Lewis Run, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Teresa (Nusbaum) Ross.
On July 23, 1949, in Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church in Lewis Run, she married Andrew S. Onuffer, who preceded her in death on September 9, 1983.
She was lifetime member all her life of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church and most recently a member of St. Bernard Church.
Surviving are two sons, Dale (Darla) Onuffer, of Ecuador, and Robert (Miriam Thomas) Onuffer, of Erie, two daughters, Mary MacKenzie, of Bradford, and Carol (Cary) Frigo, of Bradford, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, Ashley Easton, and Bryan Williams, two great-great grandchildren, Alivia and Marlee Sevrey, and several nieces and nephews.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Virginia Sankner, and Margaret Pantuso, and two brothers, James Ross and Edward Ross Sr.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Bernard Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, with Fr. Jim Gutting, as Celebrant. Mausoleum entombment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
