Marjorie Grove

Marjorie A. "Marge" Grove, 89, of East Main Street, Bradford, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born on December 27, 1935, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Eva (Walker) Storer. She was a 1953 graduate of Bradford High School.

On September 19, 1959, in Bradford, she married Jack A. Grove, who preceded her in death on December 11, 2014.

Marge worked as a secretary at South Penn Oil Company for seven years, and as a clerk at Quaker State. She was later employed as a secretary at the Bradford Area School District for 30 years, retiring in 1999.

Marge was a member of Hill Memorial United Methodist Church, a Life Member of the Gamma Sigma Chapter of the Sigma Alpha Sorority, she also volunteered at BRMC. Marge had served on the reunion committee for Bradford High School for 70 years. She loved her cats and dogs, including the most recent, Lucky and Max.

Surviving is one daughter, Jill (James) Doyle, of Houston TX, one granddaughter, Sara Doyle, of Midland TX, and one great granddaughter, Georgia Campbell, of Midland, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, of 55 years, and one sister Josephine "Jodie" Hazzard.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Limestone, NY.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
