Michael D. Colley

Michael D. Colley, 85, of Bradford, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026, at The Pavilion at BRMC.

Michael was born in Bradford on May 3, 1941, he was a son of the late Patrick and Elizabeth (Barber) Colley. He attended Otto Eldred schools.

On June 17, 1978, in Bradford, he married Doris F. "Dot" (Franklin) Colley who preceded him in death on July 12, 2018.

Mike worked at W.R. Case Cutlery and Son's for 50 years as an Assembly Supervisor and Fire Safety Coordinator.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, above all else, he cherished his family and found his greatest joy in spending time with those he loved. He took great pride in caring for his home, whether it was meticulously detailing his cars until they looked showroom-ready or maintaining a lawn that reflected his dedication and attention to detail. His strong work ethic, pride in a job well done, and willingness to help others will be remembered by all who knew him.

Surviving are five daughters, Deb (Dale) Yohe, of Bradford, Linda (Stephen) Frederick, of Bradford, Jackie (Roger) Ellison, of Jacksboro TN, Lori (Dan) Lindquist, of Norristown, and Jody Lee, of Port Allegany, two sons, Steve (Laura) Hixenbaugh, of Lewis Run and  Jason Colley, of Bradford, two sisters, Sally Johnson, of Portville NY, and Candice (Gary) Joy, of Bradford, one brother, Anthony Colley, of NC, 22 grandchildren, Stacey (Paul)  Black, Dale M. (Bambi) Yohe, Christopher Yohe, Stephanie Martuccio, Shannon (Jason) Mendell, Shaylyn Wilson, Heather Hixenbaugh, Crystal (Adam) Spencer, Deb Priestine, Josh (Amber) Hixenbaugh, Jennifer (Chuck) Edminster, Amy (Jason) Myers, Tammy (Mark) Sheeley, Ryan (Brooke) Ellison, Justin (Tristan) Ellison, Lee (Lacy) Ellison, Tiffany Lindquist, John (Katie) Lindquist, Becky Lindquist, Zachary Lee Colley, Hannah Lee Colley, and Mikey (Kasey) Colley, 30 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter, Lillian Rhoades, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dot, and one brother, George W. Colley Sr.

Family will receive friends on Monday July 13, 2026, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Ave., followed by funeral services with Rev. Gary Smith, Pastor of the Faith Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
